Expedition Writing Studio does not directly store complete credit-card or debit-card numbers.

Student Writing
Students retain ownership of the original writing they submit to Expedition Writing Studio.
Student writing may be reviewed, discussed, annotated, or otherwise used by the instructor only as necessary to provide instruction and feedback.
Expedition will not publish, distribute, display, use in marketing, or incorporate identifiable student writing into future instructional materials without prior written permission from the student’s parent or legal guardian and, when appropriate, the student.
Information About Minors
Expedition Writing Studio serves high-school students.
When a student is under 18, we ask that registration and payment be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians should provide their own contact information whenever practical rather than requiring a minor student to provide unnecessary personal information.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through our website.
If we learn that information from a child under 13 has been submitted to us without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Third-Party Services
Expedition may use third-party providers to operate portions of the business, including Squarespace for website hosting; Acuity Scheduling or another scheduling platform; payment processors; Zoom or another video-conferencing service; email providers; and other technology necessary to deliver workshops.
These providers may process information necessary to perform their services and maintain their own privacy policies and security practices.
Expedition does not authorize third-party service providers to use student information for unrelated purposes on our behalf.
Email Communications
We may send transactional emails relating to registration, scheduling, workshop materials, payment, or other services requested by a family.
Families who separately choose to receive announcements about future programs may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.
Unsubscribing from promotional messages will not prevent us from sending necessary communications concerning an active registration.

Photographs, Testimonials, and Marketing
Expedition will not use a student’s name, photograph, testimonial, writing, or other identifiable information in promotional materials without prior permission.
When the student is a minor, permission must be provided by a parent or legal guardian.
Permission for marketing use is voluntary and is not required for participation in any Expedition Writing Studio program.
