Expedition Writing Studio offers live online writing workshops for high-school students in grades 9-12. Students from public, private, charter, hybrid, and homeschool settings are all welcome.

Workshops are intentionally small, with a maximum of eight students, so Daniel can provide meaningful instruction, answer questions, and give students individual attention.

All current workshops are live and interactive online sessions. Students should plan to attend at the scheduled time rather than watching a recording later.

A reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with audio and video capability, and any materials listed in the workshop description. Students may also need access to Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or another writing program depending on the course.

Not at all! The workshops are designed to help students become stronger, more confident writers. Students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, unsure how to begin, or frustrated by writing can benefit just as much as students who already enjoy writing.

No. Expedition is built around helping students develop their own ideas and improve their own writing. Daniel provides instruction, feedback, editing guidance, and revision strategies, but the student remains the author.

Yes. The goal of these workshops is to provide tailored feedback and guidance to all participants.

Because class sizes are limited, missed sessions are not refundable and private makeup sessions are not included. Families may request one transfer to another offering of the same course if the request is made at least 24 hours before the first scheduled session and space is available.

No. Rescheduling is limited to another offering of the same course within the same academic year, subject to availability.

If Expedition cancels a program and cannot provide a suitable replacement, families receive a full refund. If a workshop is rescheduled and the new time does not work, families may choose another available offering or request a refund.

No. Students are also not permitted to record sessions. This helps protect the privacy of students and the writing they share.

Generally, no. Workshops are designed for students. Parents will receive the information they need for registration, scheduling, and logistics, but the instructional sessions themselves are intended for enrolled students.
